Ryan is a lifelong resident of the Niagara Region. He attended Brock University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Music and Political Science and a Master of Arts degree in Political Theory. He went on to attend Osgoode Hall Law School where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2015.
After law school, Ryan completed his articles with a leading litigation firm in Hamilton. He then returned to the Niagara Region to practice alongside a prominent personal injury lawyer. In 2018, Ryan opened his own practice under the mentorship of Ken Douglas and Robert Morningstar. The law firm of Douglas, Morningstar & Bonin LLP was formed the following year.
Ryan practices predominantly in the areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation, Corporate Law, Real Estate Law, and Wills and Estates. He has trial experience and appears regularly before the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Small Claims Court and the Licence Appeals Tribunal. While he is a capable litigator, Ryan also assists his clients with the negotiation of interest-based resolutions where appropriate.
Outside of practice, Ryan sits on the Board of Directors for the Lincoln County Law Association. He is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking with his wife, Laura and their son, Lucas.
Ryan is presently accepting a limited number of legal aid certificates.
